After many days of searching for a good deal, i went into my local tesco at Bursledon, Southampton at got a Ds Lite and Zoo tycoon game for £97.98, i used my clubcard vouchers and knocked off a further £10.00 so got it for £87.98 wot a bargain (even without vouchers)
Hope this helps someone :rotfl:

  • I got this too. Used s £3 off £30 spend various other coupons and a double clubcard point voucher.
    Well chuffed.
  • When I read your post, I felt like saying "oh no" tesco clubcard vouchers are worth 4 times as much in deals - you could have had £40 towards, movie rentals, eating out, day trips etc etc. As Martin has said NEVER spend them in store as they are worth 4 times as much elsewhere.

I got this package at toys r us:

    Description

Nintendo DS Lite pink console with 5 games:
    Nintendo DS Little Mermaid
Nintendo DS Disney Pirates of the Caribbean
    Nintendo DS Crazy Frog Racer
    Nintendo DS Scooby Doo Unmasked
    Nintendo DS Pippa Funnell
Nintendo DS Lite pink starter pack consisting of slip wallet, 3 stylus pens, DS games case, GBA games case, screen protector with squeegee and cleaning cloth

This was on offer at £149.89 which is good value. The ref code on the web site is: 877301

;) I am the only Voucher Queen in my village LOL ;)
  • I wouild suggest getting your pink nintendo Ds lite where you can if you want it before xmas seems most places are out of stock (toysrus,HMV etc).

There was an item on the radio about it being very unlike ly you would get one via the internet eg Amazon delivered before christmas.Whether this is just ot induce panic buying or a genuine shortage only time will tell.
  • I too had been looking for a good deal on a ds lite, i really wanted a package from toysrus but they're all out of stock for the pink one, went into local woolies and found ds lite white/black/pink with 3 games

    Spyro (not the new one)
    Super monkey ball
    Sonic rush

    for £124.99

thought it was reasonable deal myself

Not much use if the OP has no interest in movie rentals or eating out but did have an interest in a dslite. Better to use them on something you want with a smaller reduction than something you don't want/need just because it saves you more.

Was just about to say the same. I've been hoarding my vouchers for a while now, terrified to use them in store because the deals are worth 4x more. But every time I check out the deals there's nothing I want to use the vouchers for. In the past three years, I have only converted £5 worth into Goldsmiths vouchers for an 18th birthday present, and that was only because I was skint at the time. Would have preferred to buy a more decent present, Goldsmiths are usually highly over-priced, IMO.

I emailed Tesco once, asking why they didn't have any decent retailers. I pointed out that with Sainsbury's loyalty cards you can use them at CD-WOW, Argos, Adams, etc. They never replied. Ok, I know that the mathematics are different, 1p for every pound spent with Nectar v 4p for every pound with ClubCard, but still... I've saved loads of money on stuff that I actually wanted to buy using my Nectar points. Have only saved £20 with ClubCard.

Have been trying to convince myself to use up all my vouchers on my Christmas grocery shop this year. Don't know if I'll be to go through with it though, it just feels so anti-MSE... :rotfl:

Don't think my Son would be too impressed with a pink version, and i posted two messages asking for cheap bundles before making my decision as everywhere is either sold out or has delivery after xmas, i wasn't gonna take the risk.

Been waitin for TRU to get them back in stock for almost 2 weeks and xmas gettin too close for comfort

I'm pleased with my bargain thanks
  • Yes the pink ones aren't universally loved to put it mildly ;)
