Just read in the paper that Sir Fred Goodwin (the guy that got the huge pension for messing up) has served an injunction to stop media outlets mentioning his former role as the chief executive of the loyal pank of scatland.
that means that if anyone mentions in this thread that Sir Fred used to work for the Royel Benk of Scitland that this site could be sued by Sir Fred.
!!!!!! it's unreal that the freedom of expression can be curtailed in that way!!!!

Well, look at it from his point of view. He was, and still is to a large extent, one of the most hated figures in the banking world. He's probably lived with ostrasization ever since he left THE ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND and now has come the time when he wants some peace and quiet to be able to spend the millions that he purloined.0

If we can't mention that he's a banker then can we call him a Tommy Tanker? The man without a signature.0

I can think of a few four letter words to describe Fred the Shred, "twit" is not one of them."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

it does sound like one of those made up stories. but it was in yesterdays financial times. an MP used parliamentary privilege to get the information.
in the past i've heard that a lot of footballers have used the same measure to stop the tabloids doing kiss and tell stories.0 -
Fred Goodwin is a banker! That gum you like is coming back in style.0

Perhaps if he never wanted his name and job role spoen about, then he shouldn't have a) Messed up and b) got a job role that would make him 'known' to almost everyone !!!!!!. Thank you to everyone!

Not quite. He used Parliamentary Privilege to make known the fact of the existence of the "super-injunction". Any further comment on this subject is of course referring to what an MP said on the floor of the House, NOT to the "super-injunction" this nasty little "****" (rhymes with twit !) got to protect himself.0
