Abbey increases savings account rates (w.e.f. 1st Dec)

According to Moneyfacts, Abbey will increase their savings rates with effect from the 1st December 2006. The majority of Abbey's savings accounts will increase by the full 0.25%.

Abbey's eSaver will increase by 0.25%, from 5.1% gross (4.85% AER) to 5.35% gross (5.10% AER) for balances of £1+ (Yearly interest option).

Abbey's standard monthly saver account rate increases by 0.20%, from 5.00% to 5.20%. Details here.

The Abbey Postal ISA (issue 2) will also increase from 4.90% to 5.00% for balances of £1+. For balances of £9K+ the interest rate will be 5.15%. Details here.

The Easy ISA rate will also see increases from 0.10% to 0.25%, giving savers tiered rates from 4.30% to 5.35% gross/AER. Details here.
