What are the chances of "haggling" when paying off credit cards ????

in Credit cards
I have at the moment 4 credit cards on the go, I am in a position to pay them all off once and for all in 1 foul swoop (:):):):j:j:j:):):)).:money:
The question is , what are the chances of haggling down the balance's with the credit card companys and what is the best way of going about it ???.
At the moment I owe (approximatly):-
Barclaycard :- £1942 @14.9%
MBNA :- £1965 @29.9%
Nationwide :- £1697 @ 19.9%
Tesco :- £945 @ 19.9%
I know its not great amounts and I accept that I knew what the card APR's were, but my thinking is they have made a fair bit for themselfs in interest, why not try to save myself a little bit of money!.
The thoughts of the forum members would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You All

No chance what soever,
Why should they, if you dont pay them off they are going to get a sight more interest,
they would actually be worse off.
I wouldnt waste yuour time.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

What would you say if they called you and suggested haggling up the interest rate?Gone ... or have I?0

And much as I hate to do this, the expression is one fell swoop, not one foul swoop.
Sorry.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

As much as I hate to do this, the correct spelling is "whatsoever" and "yours". I asked a simple question and got my answer. I did not ask for my grammer to be corrected, (as you did me the favour, I have done the same with your spelling:exclamati)No chance what soever,

The way it works is this...theclonetrooper wrote: »The thoughts of the forum members would be greatly appreciated.
1. You fall behind with payments
2. They place late payment markers on your credit file
3. You continue to struggle and don't pay
4. As it approaches default time (4-6 months) they start to panic
5. You ask them for a reduced figure to settle
6. They make an offer, but it's conditional on them marking your credit file as "partially settled".
7. You then can't get any (mainstream) credit for some considerable time.

Just pay them off and move on to be honest, I'm the same always looking for a deal but with CC providers it's their bread and butter so they wont move!0

!!!!!!, i was trying to help, for your future reference and I did apologise just in case you took offence, but hey ho, how childish of you to use the old tit for tat playground tactic.
There is more in your second post but I'm not going to stoop to your level.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

You signed the agreement and was happy with the APR at the time. You've spent up and had a great time, now take some responsibility in paying it off. Why would they reduce the amount when you can pay it off in one go.0
