Paint darker than orinally thought

We have painted our hall, stairs and landing a brown sugar colour, if we decide in a few months that it is too dark and we buy a lighter shade of brown how will it look if we just paint over it?

Ormus is right. What colour do you expect it to be?

There's a postcard in the locker room of my bowls club. It shows two old gents and one says to the other "What do you do if a bird s**** on the windscreen of your car". " Simple" says the other. "I don't take her out again".
