Depends how big your house is and how well insulated it is, but I've found that type of spending is easily done, even with pretty low indoor temperature expectations. It just takes not enough insulation, old windows and and old boiler. It was a hard one this year, but during the worst part of the winter I was spending £150 a month on gas and rarely seeing indoor temperatures above 13 degrees at night. The minus six nights were bad and cost us a lot, our boiler was running constantly and we were hardly getting in to double digits in here.0
