OK, "let off with an absolute discharge".
Can someone with the necessary access rights change "aquitted" to "let off" (and therefore also correct my spelling mistake). The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.

goes to show how courts can favour councils, if it had been any other person, we'd be imprisoned for trying that for falsifying evidence and contemp of court.
if the CPS doesnt appeal that decision then there really isnt any justice in this country at all.
that just sends a message out to other parking officials that hey we can do that who's going to appeal it many dont, and take teh risk of being slapped on the wrist in a court room.0 -
It's a simple fact. Courts nearly always side with 'the system' against the individual, unless the individual has overwhelming evidence on their side.
There seems to be this odd idea, that people stop being people when they joint 'the system' and become superhuman.
For instance. How many Police Officers have been found guilty of all the same crimes as everyone else? yet in court a Policemans word is sacrosanct when giving evidence against people. It's not rational!0 -

'Given an absolute discharge'.;)
Utterly scandalous 'sentence' IMO.0 -
I simply do not understand this absolute discharge nonsense. How can someone be found GUILTY but then get sentenced to nothing whatsoever? Having said that it will now be on his CRB records...0

Happens all the time mate. Two months ago I was the victim of an unprovoked attack by a thug. He was caught and had a long previous record. He was ordered to pay me £100 compensation (which I will never see) and ,er, that's it - no penalty whatsoever for the actual assault.
In this case here, I am guessing that it was a first offence and he pleaded guilty and the court reckoned that he had been sufficiently punished by the loss of his job. But what do I know?"If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools"
