Parking ticket appeal

Hi guys,

I know this may not be the right section but im gonna ask anyway.

Hoping for a little advice here. I went into one of the local carparks and paid my £1 for 2 hours, (my ticket is valid from 11:17 - 13:17.

I get back to my car to find i had been given a parking ticket. ( i put the ticket to high up my windscreen and i think the traffic warden needs to go to specsavers) The ticket was on my windscreen but had been slightly hidden under my blue visor at the top of the screen.

I have retained my ticket and i have taken pictures that show the ticket was still visable under the visor.

Any advice on how to apeal this ???

Thanks guys.

Tim.

Who ticketed you, was it private parking or the council?

Yes wrong forum, there is a parking tickets forum in motors section.

But as I go on there I can help you here before they move the thread.
I all have learnt is from others on many sites.
    Seek legal help if unsure.
Dont pay Private Parking tickets - they are mere invoices.

Have a read through the threads on the parking tickets forum. You will most probably find it is an uninforceable (spell??) ticket and you can just ignore it. If not then you can almost certainly appeal as well.

    Hi

This happened to me with an on street ticket from a parking meter. I returned to the car and found a parking ticket, mine had fallen off the windscreen and fell on the floor. Where I live the on street parking is run by the County Council so I took my ticket and the parking ticket into the 'Parking Shop' (where you pay tickets and buy parking permits etc) and the lady in there said I could appeal. She filled the form out for me and took a photocopy of my ticket. I am still waiting to hear but she sounded pretty sure I wouldn't have to pay it.

I had a similar situation recently. I went to the local council offices immediately and they gave me a form to fill out and appeal. Within a week I had a letter back, and didn't have to pay the fine.
    Hope this helps.

    Fine

Just ignore it. Stick any and all letters from them in a drawer and forget about them.

    No more to be done.
