I would like to warn people over using the free months trial on the Credit Expert website. Over a month ago i registered for a months trial to view my credit report, i subsequently tried to cancel, well within the 30 day period only to notice today that they had deducted the £14.99 monthly fee. When i spoke to them they stated that there was no record of me calling and refused point blank to refund, unless i can prove i called.

I found their attitude and response disgusting and would advise anyone considering using the free trial to make sure they cancel your subscription.

I hope more people don't lose out as a consequence of their incompetncies

Think they have put the price up. Now as well as your credit report you get your credit score and loads of other duff things included.

I've used them in the past (when it was £6.99).

    Just looked now:
    What does membership cost?

We offer a free trial. During this time, you can look at your credit report as often as you like and learn from the wide range of information about credit-related topics on the website. You will also be sent alerts if there are any significant changes to your credit report. This can help to protect against identity fraud by showing you if somebody else is trying to apply for credit in your name.
After the free trial, you will be charged the appropriate monthly or annual fee depending on the service you joined. We will communicate with you at the start of your free trial to let you know what you can expect from that service and outline the details of the membership fee associated with membership if you do not inform us that you do not wish to continue.
You will then be charged monthly, depending on your membership terms, for the duration of your membership.
If you are a member of CreditExpert and require support from our dedicated customer service team, you can call us on 0844 481 0800* (Mon-Fri 8am–7pm, Sat 8am–4pm, Sun closed).

I've just sent them a feedback response stating they have managed to avoid answering their own question.

Maybe people are twigging that that Credit Score is worthless so they aren't getting the revenue in any longer.

What does that mean? Did you actually speak to someone to cancel it?
