Record / Watch Different Channels

Hi,

is it possible to watch 1 sky channel and record another?

I dont want Sky+ and wonder if other recorder/hdd let you do this.

Thanks!

  • What channels do you want to record/watch?

For example, if one was on analogue or Freeview you could record it with a normal video recorder either on its own or with a Freeview box. If they are both Sky only then Sky+ would be the way to go.
  • yes sky+ is your only option unless you use freeview.

unless of course you get two sky boxes but then that kinda defeats the point of not getting sky+

the reason for this is it is the box which decodes the signal from the dish - boxes only have 1 tuner in them so that is the restriction. A sky+ box has two tuners which is why it can record 2 channels at a time etc...
