Hi, I bought a 58 Ford Fiesta 1.4 about 6 months ago, which I love. I drive on the motorway every weekday to and from my workplace, which is about 15 miles each way. I tend to drive at 60-65mph in an attempt to conserve fuel. I half-fill the tank every 4 days or so, which costs me £20-25 each time. Basically, I'd like to…

OP needs to first work out what she is getting on fuel consumption.

Fill it right to the top (not half a tank). Ignore this fill up throw this receipt away.
Reset the milometer
Drive for 4 weeks filling up as required - keep your receipts as a record
At the end of the 4th week fill right to the top again add this receipt to all the others.

miles/gallons = fairly accurate mpg

gallons = litres/4.546
