    Cheers,

The tiles are these ones http://www.thetiledepot.co.uk/products/Floor+Tiles/Porcelain+Tiles/Medium+Tiles/CAPRI+POLISHED+NANO+PORCELAIN+TILE+30X60CM/4294161402

Again the tiler did an amazing job of leveling the floor and grouting them perfectly which makes them I think.

We don't really know yet as we haven't lived with them long enough. It was a worry. We tested with water but oil is the worry I guess. I will let you know!

Yes keep me updated,it is a worry but they look fab and just dont have that "wow" when there not polished imho.I think no matter what I am told I will go for the polished tile when we get our kitchen in :j
  • Ive been fitting the same kitchen the last week and I must say I'm very impressed with the quality of the kitchen. As a kitchen fitter I always found the delivery the biggest problem with BandQ but since they changed their delivery company I dont mind fitting their kitchens at all. In all honesty I sometimes even recommend them which I would never have done a year ago. The fitting side from b and q is still very expensive and it is hit or miss if you get a good kitchen fitter but you can see you have had some good fitters in who have done a very nice job.

  • I too was dreading reading this being in the process of buying a B&Q kitchen. We have pictures we are happy with and the Surveyor is coming round tomorrow to measure up etc.

We too have gone for their fitting service, mainly because of the 2 year guarantee on all work they carry out. I was pleased to read that they did price match your appliances too as I have managed to find ours for over £250 cheaper online :-)

I hope the rest of our experience is as good as yours.

    Hi

You shouldn't have to get them to price match.

Why go somewhere that you have proved to be selling a major part of your new kitchen project at more than the market value?

Not to mention their fitting charges.

:T Exactly. If that is overpriced, what about the rest of it?

Perhaps because online appliance sellers dont fit/supply kitchens?

It's all about overheads. It is cheeper to be an independent fitter or an online shop that takes orders for appliances that may well come direct from the supplier warehouse. Than to be a retailer with stores, staff etc etc

I can understand why B&Q are more expensive and I think it is good that they price match.
