  • Are you using the same router or a new one provided by TT?
Does your router show up if you check "available networks" on the upstairs comp?

You can only use 1 router at a time but yes you can change back to your old one and maybe use it until you sort the TT problem.

[edit] oops .. just seen the post by benman - as far as I know you can only use 1 router at a time ...

how much do the devo plugs go for and how many would i need my boys share a bedroom would they need 1 each
  • Apart from noticing you haven't returned it, they wont know:)

have you tried taking the laptop downstairs and sitting it next to the router, just to make sure everything is set up correctly?

The Talk-Talk router must be very poor if you can't even get a weak signal upstairs. Here I can see 6 or 7 wireless signals from the houses around here.

Sometimes you can have interference with other routers, phones, baby monitors etc... you could try setting a different wireless channel on the Talk-Talk router.

Otherwise you could buy a wireless access point and connect it to the ethernet port on the Talk-Talk router or if the signal is still poor use powerline network adapters to network the upstairs devices through your house wiring.
