Credit searched twice

Applied and rejected for sainsbury card.

Checked credit report today and it's showed they searched me twice on 8th.

Both are exactly the same a credit check. So not as if one is a ID check that other lenders can see.

Is this normal or should I call them to find out why?

Go to the information centre (I presume you're using Credit Expert from Experian?) and search for Notice of Correction.

Ask them to dispute the second duplicate search and request it be removed as you only authorised one search.

It should then be removed within a week or two. Experian will ask for Sainsbury's consent hence the waiting time. Should be fine :o

    Izools,

I got searched three times by Sygma, on three different dates.

Were they all full searches? Creation / Sygma do this - one full search, and two unrecorded searches - one an ID Check and one an Anti-Money-Laundering check.

Totally normal; how many of them appear in table one?

One search in table one on the 22nd feb,

Two searches in table two, 23rd Feb and 10march.

What I don't understand as well is three different dates.
  • Sainsburys searched mine twice last April for one credit application. I did ring them to remove one and they said to write in. I never got round to it but at least they will both drop off next month.

You can have these duplicate searched removed by the CRA, just contact them and they'll do it......eventually.
