Time to upgrade my router?

Ive had my Belkin wireless G+ router for about 5 years now, and got a new PC and wireless adapter (capable of 300mbps), think my G router is only capable of 54mbps, would a new 'higher powered' router improve performance much?

If so, what should i look for?

Thanks in advance

^^^ closed is right, even with G+ at 108 Mb/s between router and pc, you won't notice a difference as your bb speed will be well below that

as long as the router works as it should, no worries :)

Thirded. The only benefit is if you're transferring files from one computer to another on the same network.

However you might get better range with a newer wireless 'N' router.
But if the Belkin does the job OK at present, and is set to one of the WPA security encryptions, no need to change it.

I agree with above unless of course your isp is using adsl2 on newer deals in which case you can change your package and your speeds could improve. The older routers can only take adsl1.
