    LOL I'm not going to argue with that, but as I've already said, I'm left chasing diminishing returns. The annoying bit is that I've always had complete confidence in the actual hardware and have had several Dell's in the past, including from the Outlet. I've just been lucky in that I've never had to deal with Customer (Dis)Service before, and I've frankly found it a horrifying scenario. If I'd known Dell were a company which allegedly doesn't have a customer complaints department, and that there is no phone number avalaible anywhere which will get you through to someone in the same country as you*, I'd have gone elsewhere.

    It took a hell of a lot of tracking down, but I came across a phone number for their head office in Bracknell. It answers with a recorded message saying "leave a message now for Dell reception"... LOL even their reception won't take calls unless they're screened first!!!

    Why on earth have you bothered to post this? It offers no help to the poster. You may as well have asked what they were wearing when they made the purchase.

    The decision was taken. They are where they are. Why not try to help?

    OP - personally I'd be in work on Monday and if the replacement turns up, arrange a redelivery sometime.
