When is the best time to book with Ryanair?

Hello,
I am planning a trip to France in September. Ryanair have good flights to Carcassonne - Liverpool, which is where I am going but they are so expensive. For four adults it is going to work out at about £600. Is it worth my while hanging on for cheaper deals or should I just book them now. When is the best time to book?
Thanks

In my experience the cost of flights goes up the nearer you get to the departure date. We always try to book ours as soon as they are released.0

The price may go down, it will depend how tickets are selling, but you can't be sure. In your favour you are travelling in September which is not peak time but against that Carcassone is a popular destination. You have to decide if you will be prepared to take the chance of cheaper tickets later while understanding that the price may also go up so you could end up paying more. If you don't want to risk that buy now. If youa re prepared to chanc eit , good luck, it might work out and it might not, just don'e waste time wishing yo'd bought ealrier! An alternative might be to check other airports within reach of your destination...but factor in petrol/transport costs and your time before deciding if they present a better deal.Just because somebody is certain doesn't mean they are right!0

with ryanair i always book as soon as possible.. its rare prices will drop, unless they really aren't selling well.
I avoid school holidays though and book upto 7-9 months in advance. But i tend to buy 6 or 7 returns for mates at the £60 return rate
most ryanair sales at £5/£8/£12/£15 are for the immediate two months, and on that basis you tickets may not go on sale until July, by which time all the cheaper flights have sold..
I'm guessing liverpool bremen isn't doing too well as you can get a thurs-sat return for £28 all in for April and March.
Another factor to consider is the big sale, i always find the flights i want actually go up in price if i haven;t got them, so then have to wait for the sale to drop off and then another week the price usually drops back to the original price, but once again it really depends on what other people are buying..
weekend convenient flights will always be more popular than mid week wednesday0 -
Thanks for all your help. I might just sit it out for another month or so.0

You say 'good' flights, do you mean they are likely to be popular? If so, do you think they will fall in price? or will demand get them rising?
What is the best alternative price to Carcassonne that you can find?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

It is a popular time for those who don't have children and don't have to holiday in school holidays and want a holiday before the new series of big autumn telly shows get into full swing.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -

Sorry, I mean flights that are the perfect time for us. We are picking up a boat in Trebes and the flights would get us in at an ideal time.
I can only find flights from Liverpool to Carcassonne on my dates with Ryanair, my other options are to fly to Toulouse or Montpellier but these flights are also really expensive.0 -
Bargains for September probably wont show until around July . I reckon 5 to 8 weeks B4 is the optimum time to book as long as you can be flexible with the dates. ie £6 flights showing NOW for early May.0

Err.....the 1st of Never. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0

If you want Sat-Sat flights, very good flight times to a lovely part of France.
