How many jelly beans fit in a 1 litre Retro Sweet Jar? ?? ~ I have checked the site and cannot find the answer. I don't know if you have to guess, or the answer is somewhere. This is the site and this is the sweety jar:

i went for 370 based on http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090407175005AApWPbI but not sure, seems like one of those fairground guessing games lol
Thank you to all posters0 -
I found this, not sure how accurate it is - does anyone have a jelly bean they can weigh?
If it's right, a jelly bean is about 0.7g. The 1 litre tub weighs 1.5kg according the site (FAQ - jar dimensions)
So I work it out at 1500g/0.7g = 2142. Minus the weight of the jar, which according to first link is about 300 jelly beans. So just over 1800.
Does that sound anything like do you think??
ETA Lol, just seen MB's post, huge difference!!:jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0 -
I would think its not so much the weight of the beans, but the size by volume that we need - not idea how to work that out though. I don't like the idea of just filling a jar with sweets, and not know what the weight of what you get. I would have thought that legally they would have to indicate the weight somewhere.
There again, if you are "posh" you wouldn't question value of goods0 -

They do - FAQ Jar Dimensions brings up a chart showing that it weighs 1.5kg.:jI shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine and he shall be my Squishy.0 -
Cheers - note to self - must look more thoroughly next time.0
