I am aiming for no huge overdraft, in fact no overdraft at all unless something horrible happens before I have the chance to build a buffer.

Ooo. G next to F. Almost wasn't buffer then!!

I am going to try and get rid of my permanent overdraft and make inroads into my credit card.

Also I am going to read my meters weekly and keep on top of my bills and direct debit amounts.

Last of all I will try to pay my bills on time, I am up to date with council tax at moment and only had one threatening letter. Usually I get a visit from the bailiffs.

    In 2007 i want to:

    * Not get into any debt
    * Save as much as i can
    * Stop smoking
    * Cut out spending money on things that i just don't need
  • In 2007 my targets are:

-to be a good mum to my little boy who's due in 11 weeks time- scary!
-to pay off as much of my debt as possible
-to progress my career (just gone for promotion so I need lots of good luck vibes please)
-to keep up my newly learned DFW skills!

    Good luck everyone.

  • Good thread! :T

    My aims are:
    • Clear my overdraft by my birthday (early April).
    • Clear the Barclaycard balance (it was a BT and the 0% offer runs out March so ideally by then).
    • Start bl**dy saving for all the things that we need to do to this house of ours!
    • Try not to add stupidly to my debts (fighting with myself on this one at the moment....please send positive vibes! :D )

Good luck everyone....pin the goals on your fridge door or something. Apparantly you are far more liely to acheive your goals if you write them down and keep them somewhere visible (read it in a brilliant book called "How to be a complete and utter failure").

I should be half way through at this rate, so let's go for 75% of my debt cleared by the end of the year

Should have my new car by then too :D
