Im now thinking of an electric shower with a integral pump!
There is no such animal. Electric showers (repeating myself a bit) need a cold mains supply. Supply from your cold tank will NOT do. You may not pump the mains supply.

If you go for an electric shower you will have to disconnect the hot supply and isolate it and convert the cold supply to mains rather than coming from the tank. This should be possible in the roofspace to avoid breaking into the tiles. But you will also need to get a suitably sized mains electric cable to the shower. The size will depend on the riute and the power of the shower and will require a double pole isolating switch outside the bathroom and be an RCD protected supply at your consumer unit. Be aware that 2½mm TC&E will not be enough. It will probably require 10mm or even 16mm. The electrics for an electric shower from scratch MUST be done by a quaified electrician.

A power shower is what you will get if you pump your existing.

Look for a Trevi Boost Venturi shower. Should work great with your setup and avoid messing around with expensive electic showers and noisy pumps.
Trevi Boost are no cheaper! If they get carp in the venturi hot performance suffers and if you fit an inline filter to catch the carp then the hot flow rate will suffer. With regular maintenance they can be OK but its all too easily forgotten and then you don't like the beastie!
