Warmfront boiler query

Hi all,
Last June I had a tech survey done by Warmfront (Although I'm scared by the horror stories I've been reading today...!) and I told the chap that I needed the type of boiler that will make my hot water come out with more than just a trickle. As I'm not very techie he said that's fine leave it to me etc.
I have only just received the letter about arranging for work to be done and the specifications of the boiler they plan to install.
I rang to query with the advisor about the request for the specific type of boiler due to the tap problem but they weren't very helpful and just said that I'd get a like for like boiler, although my neighbour was able to specify a type (as in combi, condensing etc)
Can anyone help please?
I currently have an Ideal Classic boiler which was installed in 1998. If I agree to the Warmfront/Eaga works it'll be replaced with a Icos HE15 (yep, worried as I've read the reviews!) Can I negotiate on the make and model?
What I was after was a boiler that will make my taps gush out nicely as it currently takes about half an hour to run a bath! Will this one do the trick?
I did request (upon recommendation) for a combi boiler so I can lose the attic tank and airing cupboard tank too but not sure if that's what I'm getting??? Or even if it matters that much??
In addition, as I say I've read the reviews on the Icos (and on Warmfront/Eaga) and being as my current boiler is working fine apart from an occasional 'clicking' when trying to light (which rights itself eventually) I'm worried that I'm making a huge c0ck-up in having the Icos fitted - especially if it isn't going to help my water pressure problem either!
Any help/advice welcomed

Your boiler probably just needs a good and proper service.
Failing that ask them if you can have an Ideal Logic Plus fitted instead.
Warmfront are tied in with Ideal, that is why you will more often than not get an ideal boiler fitted, then after the Icos warranty runs out, you start getting very expensive problems!0 -
Thanks, and to be fair it is long overdue a service
so if I do decide to cancel the Warmfront thing I'll make a service a priority.

Hi there
I had my survey done last March and they put me down for an Icos which concerned me too as I have had one of these before (and suffice to say they live up to their reputation!) But when they arrived with the new boiler it was an Ideal Logic so was rather relieved. Fingers crossed it will prove to be a better boiler than the Icos.0 -
Just a wee bump to see if anyone can answer the q's about the water pressure etc

If you are using an Ideal Classic then your hot water pressure is dependent upon the 'head' of water you have, i.e The hight of the cold water storage tank relative to the tap on the bath.
If you are having this replaced by a combination boiler then your hot water would be at mains pressure.
If its a like for like replacement, a new heat only boiler then there will be no difference in pressure.
I have a similar age Ideal Classic still going strong, simple to fix and spares still available. That gum you like is coming back in style.0
