Hi
Impossible question, but having (like so many) lost our last buyer 3 days before move date, I am sceptical this time. We had offer on our house 1 week ago. Estate agent seems happy they are genuine, but they will not provide a solictor. Say they are waiting for the name from Building soc. as it is i/c/w their mortgage. Worst case, they are seing the building soc. next Wed so can provide solicitor details then. This will be 2 weeks after we accepted their offer. Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance
Niky

sounds plausible. Not everyone rushes around, some just go with the flow.0

Keep the property on the market until a survey is organised, what's to lose..?Act in haste, repent at leisure.

I know some mortgage products come with free convayencing so it is plausible.0

sounds sensible.wait until you get a mortgage before you book a solicitor or any other cost...i never get these people who offer on places before they have a mortgage in place..worse is those who have not sold making offers..lunacy..It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0
