Advice for getting insurance for an 'international' family

Anyone able to give any advice?

Our details...I'm Canadian, my husband is British. We've lived in the UK since marriage, but are now moving to Pakistan with a charity 'permanently' (or as permanent as moves these days are!). We have a 15month old and another one due in August... The charity provides insurance that gives a payout of £100,000 upon our 'sudden' demise or debilitating injury. But no other life-insurance. Given our international marriage - once we leave the UK I'll lose my residency here would we be better off getting insurance in both Canada and the UK?
Anybody else have experience with getting insurance (or assurance) for a three country family?

Any advice gratefully received!
