Hi there,
We applied to Norton for a loan but didn't want it secured on our house. They said that they would have to refer us to their 'express' team who would be able to broker for us. I gave the team our joint details and was contacted yesterday by one company (Everyday Loans) who just had my husband down as the applicant and again today I have had a text from another company (FLM Loans) saying they can only lend up to £3k, again only in my husbands name.
Does this sound right to you?

Use at your peril, if I were you I would steer well clear and look at elsewhere maybe zoopla or friends or family dont get a guarantor loan !0 -
We haven't used them and now are being inundated with loans from several companies. They keep on calling my mobile and home number and hang up when I answer as I told them we don't want the loans but they insist on speaking with my husband. I feel really harrassed.0

David,
Did you get sorted out with them ?0 -
Hi Crazyguy, since i took your advice i have had no contact from them so it seems to have worked,i recommend anybody to take your advice. Thanks again pal.
David,
Glad I could help, these company's do bloody annoy the hell out of you and to be honest I dont have much of a clue as to how they source your information.
I think it comes down to a lot of other organisations in the UK who think it is fine to sell your data on to other company's.
I have spoke with a few people in different company's that do the marketing either via sms, email, phone and post your personal information is being sold for anywhere from £0.01 to £0.25 depending on the details being sold, once you are on the do not contact lists you can go round the full cycle of company's touting for business, if you then get contacted by a company that you previously stated for them not to do so then you should seek to claim cost's and time spent dealing with them.
Most of these company's do not want you to go to the ICO and or make a legal claim so they will normaly offer you a goodwill gesture.0 -
I couldn't understand why they said i had a broker and he requested the loan, that made me worried.0

Thanks gents.
David - I read your post about them lastnight and was amazed that I am now being tartgeted in the same way!0
