I hadn't heard of it but what a great idea, I will gladly join in and will make it a no spend day for sure!0

Surely when in serious debt every day should be a "buy nothing day" unless you really need to, no?0

Will give it a go
Usually Saturdays are NSDs for me anyway. One day I might be more organised...........

Of course - for most of us this should be a matter of habit  but I think it's a great awareness tool for people who haven't had their lbm yet! Just thought folks might be interested

Yep, nearly every day is a no spend day for me anyway, but it's a great idea. I wonder how many people actually take part? Does it actually have any impact on sales figures in shops? Finally Debt Free After 34 Years, But Still Need to Live Frugally

Great idea! Agreed when you are in debt, every day should be a NSD where possible, but this (as Brassic says) would be good for those who either need their light bulb moment or those whose Olympic Sport could be shopping for the sake of it.
Unfortunately however it will be impossible for me to have a NSD that day cos I need to get the train to London for a 'prior engagement' that weekend.
Typical!Bank Balance: In the black for the moment.
Sainsburys Loan: Cleared July 2010
Credit cards: AMEX Airmiles Card: direct debit set to clear balance monthly

Do you think they should go back to no shops open on sundays?
Might bring back some family values if people start spending some time with there kids, instead of at meadowhall (if they live in sheffield loL)0
