Hot mixer tap turns less than cold - no water flow

HI all,
I have suddenly no water coming out of hot tap in shower mixer tap.
The cold one flows fine - and i get hot and cold water fine through basin taps in same room.
No other problems in house with taps or boiler/heating etc fine.
Noticed that the hot tap doesnt turn as many times as cold so wondering if this is something to do with it.
The shower mixer is new, (but not expensive) - can anyone advise on a DIY solution?
Cheers

shower mixers have gauze strainers in inlet sides, could be blocked with debris, or washer spindle jammed. turn off water and disassemble - follow instructions supplied with unit.0

if its new take it back and exchange it. or get a refund.Get some gorm.0

Got a plumber to fit it about 6 weeks ago.
He chucked box and docs - and I don't have the receipt of course. (In my defence - we have been though chaotic moving house renovation period - v v hard to keep track of everything)
It's this one:

It is supposed to have a 5 year warranty - no good without receipt though. doh.
Hence - any ideas on how to fix welcome...0 -
Did your man buy it or did you?
If he bought it, supplied it and fitted it get him back to look at it then. Even if its a warranty issue he's stiull responsible.
If, however, you bought it and he fitted it unless he's done something wrong then he may charge you for a return visit if you call him back.
On a DIY basis the little discs (H and C) on the top of the handle come off and under those there is a screw to allow you to remove the handle.
Now you can remove (by unscrewing) the shround over the head gear which allows you to get at the head gear and using a spanner remove them. Turn your water off first though and BOTH sides because the ways will be joined inside.
Don't know if this one has conventional head gear or a cartridge type but you will be able to see if either are bunged up or the ways are blocked. Something that was in the pipework (and shouldn't have been) may have moved blocked the ways for the hot water and the head gearcartridges may well be OK.
Don't expect to go back to B&Q and buy a spare head/cartridge though. The [STRIKE]muppets[/STRIKE] shop floor staff in there may try and flog you one off the shelf but there is no guarantee that it will be the right one and they don't carry spare stock specifically for the unit.
Talk to the peeps on the bathroom desk and they will be able to tell you the company that supplies them (can't remember off the top of my head).

I bet the make of taps are plumb sure from B&Q iv got the same problem with my mixer taps I'm having to use a pipe from my sink to fill the bath. This will be my 3th set in a year taking them back tomorrow. Do not buy plumb sure taps thay won't last 6mths0

same issue here, not certain they are plumb sure, but the tap didn't move much to begin with, eventually got to the point where the tap no longer works, never taken it apart though so yet to find a solution.0
