Hi
Is it a possibility that I can transfer music from my windows media player to a netbook by a USB cable, or is it more complicated than that?

Can't you just copy the files over your LAN?0

If both your computers already connect to the internet through the same connection they will already be networked to each other so will 'see' each other on the network and you can just copy/paste the files.604!0

Here's how to share files between XP machines: http://compnetworking.about.com/od/windowsxpnetworking/ht/sharewinxpfiles.htm
It's should be fairly similar on Vista & 7. If you turn "simple file sharing" off (see previous link), you'll need to have a matching username/password pair on both PCs.0
