Balance Transfer Newbie

I have just applied for a new 0% blanace transfer Card from Barclays. It is my first ever balance transfer, so i was just wondering how i go about tranfering the old balance from my old card to the new one

you have to ask barclays to do it.. they will require the 16 digit credit card number

it may take a little time to do so make sure you make at least the minimum payment on the old card until you see the zero balance.

Yes you can, but for the love of god get them to read back the card number you're paying off - twice, even, as they are an offshore call centre - and not to be racist - you need to be sure they're paying off your credit card and not someone else's.

Barclaycard have been known to get the details wrong in the past, so just ensure that the agent you're speaking to when activating your card has the details right.
