Quick question about Halifax online banking

Hi,
Quick question for you all! I'm interested in opening an internet banking account with Halifax, but was wondering how far back their statements go?
My current account lets me check back a couple of years, is Halifax the same? I will be needing to check my statements weeks and months in the past.
Many thanks!

Halifax banking;-
"With online banking you can receive and store your statements online for up to two years, and can view and print them at any time, without any fees. You can find more information in our paper-free section."

That refers to the old Halifax system I think
the new one doesn't have statements just a rolling list of transactions (going back 12 months atm for me I think)0 -
Hi Derrick,
Thanks for getting back so quickly.
What if I am still receiving paper statements through the post? Does the online banking system let you look back at transactions. I don't mind not having online statements (as I would prefer paper statements) but I'd want to look back through my previous transactions quite far back.
Thanks again for your help.

No, on-line I can usually only see about 6 weeks at a time right now.
It probably depends on how many transactions there are on the account. I can generally see up to 3 "pages" , but every so often the account seems to "regenerate" and goes right down to 1 "page" or less.
However, now they have moved to the new on-line stuff, I wonder if we can expect that to change?0 -
Seem to recall we got a letter a few week back about the system changing and how we would loose the old document archive data and we should take steps to back it up now if required
as you can tell I haven't yet0 -
Halifax new system 'apparantly' can store up to 6 years of statements like Lloyds do!0
