Hope this does not sound too negative but just a caution to remember that you will lose some of this as tax and NI so hope you remember this if you are doing any workouts!

possibly 1/3 or more but not positive so probably best to check online calculator.

Yep, already worked this out down to the penny what my actual take-home will be, including deductions for pension, car park permit etc etc. Obviously the figures I quoted are gross figures.

At the moment I am on a 20 hour a week contract but have overtime every week which fills it up to the standard 37.5. This means that the 17.5 hours a week extra gets paid a month in arrears, and also means my final take home pay each month varies depending on how many working days are in that month and where the overtime cut off period is each month (which can vary quite wildly depending on which day of the week pay day falls on).

Also when you add the fact that as it is only a 20 hour contract, if I take a week off I lose 17.5 hours income through lost overtime, my monthly wage varies from £820 to £950 depending on all the above factors.

Once I start in the new role which is a full 37.5 hour contract, I will finally have a steady income each month, regardless of how many days there are in the month and how much holiday I take. This should work out at around £1070 a month when taking into account the higher tax allowance from April this year.

January I got £860. February I got £830. This month should work out at around £920. April's wage will be mega as I'll not only be on the new full salary, but this month's overtime (expected to be around 79 hours @ £6.98) will catch up, so for the first time in what feels like forever I can treat myself to something and not worry about the consequences .
Remember this: nothing worth doing is easy.

Nothing wrong with a bit of bragging, especially when it's such good news.

    Congrats!
