Hi,
New to the site - lurked quite a lot but first time to sign up and post, hopefully someone can help, im in a bit of a pickle!
I've had a bank account with YB for a while, overdraft was £300 which was maxed out, then i got a few bank charges and it eventually hit approx £350. I had a few letters from them, and sent them a letter requesting to arrange a £20 per month repayment but i didn't hear from them.
The next thing i get a letter from Jeremy Sutcliffe & Co with a letter from YB enclosed, see below for transcripts of the letters.
YB:

The current balance outstanding of £451.25 is now overdue.
Unless the FULL BALANCE is paid within two days we will recommend to our client that court action should commence without delay.
YOU MUST CALL US ON 0870 240 0613 TO ADVISE THAT PAYMENT HAS BEEN MADE AND PREVENT LEGAL ACTION. Our lines are open from 8.30am to 6.30pm Monday, 8.30am to 9.00pm Tuesday to Friday and Saturday 8.30am until 1.00pm.
Your account has now been debited with an administration charge of £20.00 pursuant to your contract with our client. Additional charges at this level may be debited to your account if we have to write to you again, or if we have to take other action in order to recover the balance due to our client.
Yours faithfully

What can i do?
The letters are dated 2nd March but did not arrive until this afternoon 9th March, so the two day period is over?
I thought the balance was £400 max, not £450 and rising.
I wanted to pay £20 p/m but they didn't reply - instead i get this, about a month later.
I'm currently unemployed with a private rented house, with a child and a second on the way - i was made redundant from my previous employment in January and have been applying for new jobs left right and centre since but as yet i havent had anything back, but obviously when i get a job ill happily increase my payments from £20 (which at the minute i cant really afford) to a larger sum to get this over and done with quicker, but at the minute im really stuck and a bit scared of what might happen.
Many thanks, in advance!

You need to call the bank and speak to them rather than sending a letter and not following it up.0
