car door lock out of warranty - manufacture makes offer
Hi All
Rear door lock on our VW went last week, just out of warranty, door wouldnt open, told it was a complicated fix by a couple of garages need special tools, so took it to the dealer and they fixed it for a staggering £270. Now pushed VW since it was just out of warranty and they offered to pay 60% of the cost. I argued that the rear door lock shouldnt have failed at such a young age but they wouldnt budge.
Normally I would push for a higher value has anyone had any dealings like this, should I push them or accept the 60%.
thanks for the advice
