Job done, the car has lost quite a lot of weight today. Tomorrow my extras will be to clean the bathroom after the tiler has been - he wasn't due for another week so I'm pleased he's coming early but only cleaned it on Thursday , drill holes in the bottom of Mr M flower tubs (the 8 for £1 ones) ready for my potatoes which are happily chitting away on top of the freezer, and sort out my undies drawer, I can barely get it open without everything exploding out of it!

Popping in to see how you are all getting on. Well done. No time for finding the clapping smiley as I'm doing well with keeping internet action to under one hour a day. Makes me think! I'm getting the tidying bug from you all and am off now to sort out my kitchen odds and sods drawer - thanks JackieO!!

Jackie the throw sounds lovely, and like you I can knit but just can't crochet. Some people who've tried to teach me say left-handers, which I am, do find it difficult.

Two out of three planned jobs done today, couldn't clean the bathroom as a friend turned up to start tiling and has to come back to finish off, so it just got a quick wipe round to get rid of the worst of the dust.

Tuesday jobs - empty ALL the bins, not just a couple at a time, wash out the plastic ones (I hate that job as you'd realise if you saw them :o), and clean out the cleaning cupboard. Looks like I have a full day ahead!

    HI peeps!

Hello Sparrer - Come on in. I'll pop on the MSE virtual kettle for a nice cup of tea, as you will need one after all that activity!

    Welcome seeerer. :)

Well the Rumplestiltskin cave still doesn't look like a dining room yet:rotfl:However, I did manage to put the perspex panels onto one of the cupboards which has chicken wire panelled doors. It is now dust proof! (We worked out that the perspex has been hanging around for about 6 years waiting for me to get around to doing it:eek:). I finished washing all the glassware last night and re arranged the shelves. Found an unopened bottle of Pimms at the back of the cupboard, so thats a bonus!

I have also been building my EBay Empire again. 21 items listed with a few people watching. I have also started a new charity bag, Re homed the cat scratching post that the cat eschews in favour of the carpet, and sent a big bag of paper shreddings to friends chickens.

DH complaining that he was not mentioned in dispatches. He would like it known that he sorted DS2 underwear draw and shredded all the out of date paperwork. :A

Phew! Think I'll go to work for a rest:rotfl: Have a great day. HE x

You are all being very industrious! The only extra bit I managed yesterday was to sort out a very bulging file of Music Association AGM paperwork which had in fact managed to come undone and was spilling out everywhere! So I found a larger ringbinder, sorted all the contents by year into pockets, inserted labelled dividers - and now have a super-organised file of AGM stuff going back to 1991!! Almost wish someone would ask to see it, but they never do - which was how I'd neglected it for so long!! Today I am emptying the contents of the bathroom cupboard and throwing out loads.

Just about caught up, bins done and sweet smelling again, cleaning cupboard clean, but still not done the bathroom as my friend didn't arrive til late so didn't finish the tiling til gone 8pm. Tomorrow is definitely clean the bathroom day! Also to do urgently as it's getting like the leaning tower of Pisa, is the end table by the sofa where I sit. I can't joke about it being my 'filing system' any more, it looks like the main contender in a recycling competition!

CH27 you've just reminded me, there are a couple of squares of chocolate in the fridge, left from DGD2's visit last weekend. Sorry :o

    Hello Folks,

What a week! Didn't get a huge amount done over and above the usual tidying tasks, but I feel I have kept to my resolution to do something every day. :o

Tuesday - Used up my stash of 2 litre bottles to make 'Pop Bottle Rockets' with my 6th form class. Great fun was had by all! (Particularly the teaching staff ;)). Watch this space when we launch them next week.......

Wednesday - Managed to sort a couple of piles of paperwork from my desk at school. I can now move the mouse to work the computer.

Thursday - Very busy evening ferrying children to swimming pools and the barbers! Managed to empty 2 or 3 little pots of 'Tut' which have been hanging around the kitchen for months. Most of it went in the bin, which is very good for me. as I usually want to hoard stuff or recycle it. Soon we won't be able to move for 'Stuff'.

Hope your de-cluttering projects are more interesting than mine........... the weather looksso beautiful. I really want to dig the garden, but must stay focused and continue de-cluttering Rumplestiltskins cave:eek: Happy Friday. HE x

OOPS! I haven't had time to keep reporting progress on this thread, but there has been much tidying and de-cluttering activity going on at home......

My biggest success was to send an email to the council asking them to come and collect the rubbish which had been dumped at the telephone box and litter bin opposite our house. I was very happy that it was gone by the time I got home from work on Monday. :j Honestly, it was never like this until they gave us a litter bin. Now it's just a magnet for bin bags and takeaway trash.

The rest of the weekend was spent rationalising the cellar. Trying to rescue fabrics from submerged boxes and drying out stored ornaments etc. Now I have to find new homes for them.

Sold 16 items on eBay, so they have been parcelled up and sent off on Monday. (More stuff listed thanks to No fee weekend). Despite this the Dining room still looks like a bomb site!:rotfl:

Tuesday, my 6th formers launched their pop bottle rockets. Great success! Now they have all been recycled, along with a whole cupboard full of catalogues I use for cutting and sticking. Replaced with newer Argos catalogues and shelves reorganised using baskets to store clutter. Friday the dept secretary helped me rehome lots of empty files, so I now have even more storage space. I hope I can keep up the momentum. :)

At home, it has been slow going. However, I have finished one Synchro costume,(Friday), and started another one. Will have to focus on this, as DD needs them at the end of April.

Aiming to get out into the garden tomorrow. It would be good to clear the window ledge in the lean to so I can use the space for seedlings. Fingers crossed. :)

    Night Night HE x
