    Hi,

JackieO - Your day sounds perfect.

I have to report a that I have not achieved much in the way of de cluttering at home. Although, I was able to take a carrier bag of socks and underpants, which DS2 had grown out of, to the primary dept at school. Always useful in case of accidents :o, and DS2 can now open his underwear drawer! I have also tidied the huge pile of newspapers which I have been collecting in the corner of the classroom, with the intention of using them in a project. I have brought most of them home to recycle, and I will start collecting again to do the project in the summer term.

Looking forward to ticking off lots of job tomorrow! Night Night HE x

Just found you - well no wonder since I have cut down my internet time to one hour a day for Lent. Will pop in to see how you're all doing. In the meantime, I've done more housework and read more books already!

Well, church looks rather better loved than before - pews polished, stone slabs mopped, and loads of hoovering! Actually it looks pretty well cared for generally - but not this week after the redecorating which has meant scaffolding and clouds of dust!! There were lots of helpers - more male than female!!
On the home front I have reduced the plastic storage boxes in one room - but there are still loads left. have yet to get to grips with joining the crotchet squares for DGD's blanket - well done to you JackieO!!
I am enjoying this - and with six weeks there's time to get things done.

I brought 6 binbags of washing home from Dad's.
I also bottomed the small bedroom & changed the curtains.

    Morning!

Welcome CH27, Pollys and wmf - The more the merrier! Great start CH25. I spent half term working through all the washing baskets as we were a week without a washing machine. (How do my children create all this washing when they are wearing school uniform most of the time?!). Hope the weather improves so you can hang it on the line!

bemuzed - Your church sounds lovely, with 'polished pews and stone slabs', it seems to have benefitted from a lot of TLC. Well done on reducing the boxes. :j

I have been concentrating on the dining room as I wanted to use it this weekend. Its a bit like Rumplestiltskins room at the moment with piles of stuff waiting to be spun into gold............... Mending, sewing projects, EBay stuff etc. I have halved the mending pile and started to sort the sewing stuff, but progress was slow. So,we decided to take our friends out for the evening instead :rotfl:

On a positive note, I did almost finish DD's synchro costume and dropped off a bag at the charity shop. (Both achieved before 9am!). DH exchanged a DVD player while we were in town and came back with something twice the price  I decided I needed to EBay to make up the difference, so spent the afternoon putting 15 things on to sell. It wasn't quite what I had planned, but I am starting to see the pattern on the carpet in the dining room again. :)

Back to the EBay Empire today. I am also planning to reorganise one of the diningroom cupboards. Will report progress later.

Have a lovely day. :) HE

Hi house elf , can I join too?

Today I really, really need clear my car out, I'm sure all the rubbish isn't helping with economy driving. I will add that most of the rubbish accumulated when DD borrowed my car for a couple of weeks, but that was last month so can't really exhonerate myself :o.

It looks like rain so better get dressed and get to it!

Morning chums well I managed to get the blanket squares sewn together into 8 big squares of 9 per square so now my objective today is to get all of the big squares sewn together then thats one big job sorted out.I also got up quite early today as the sun was shining and I thought it was 7.45 but it was only 6.45 so I am an hour in front of myself. But that hour has not been wasted I have just got through two full in baskets in my small office sorting out stuff to chuck and stuff to keep.Very satisfying feeling seeing a clear desk for a change.I tend to end up knee deep in bits of paper.:)
Now as my tum is starting to rumble a bit I am off to have some breakfast and a shower.DD is due this morning for a coffee.Whilst waiting for her I will try to sort out one of the kitchen drawers.A bit of a throw out is due in there as well.I have three 'junk' drawers in the kitchen full of bits of papaer and coupons ect .I have decided they have to go I'm on a roll this morning
    Cheers every one
