Comet (sigh)

One of my friends had a freezer delivered on the wrong day by Comet (on the website it gave one date, which was the day she took off from work, but on the confirmation e-mail, the date magically changed). She had a screen capture to prove that the date was different on the website so that was never in dispute.

Anyway, when the freezer turned up three days early, she called Comet on their customer service number, held for ages and was promised that the delivery cost (£27) would be refunded as a gesture of good will.

She received a cheque for £7! Now, I know there's someone on here from Comet and I was wondering if they could find out what happened to the other £20 of this refund since my friend doesn't like speaking on the phone (she has hearing difficulties and is adverse to 10p/min phonelines, like myself).

    Surely a confirmation email is just that, final confirmation of the order and delivery times. Why didn't your friend arrange her day off following the email she received.

    Comet already admitted this was an error on their part so there's no point arguing about it.
