incapacity benefit to state pension

i have been on sickness benefits continuously since 1994 and am due to go to state pension in july. can anyone tell me if i would be able to continue on incapacity benefit for any length of time eg under transitional rules instead of going to state pension

booklet received re state pension claim has a paragraph which states - it is sometimes possible to remain on incapacity benefit after state pension age0

Maybe if you defer your SPI am not a cat (But my friend is)0

if i remember rightly it is only the lower rate of IB you would get, for a max of 12 months and is an excluded benefit for defering your sp.
