Changing from one Halifax card to another

Hi,

I have a Halifax All In One credit card. I've just opened a Reward current account, and I'd like to replace my All In One card with a Clarity Reward credit card. Can I ask the Halifax to convert my existing credit card account into a Clarity Reward card, or do I have to close the old account and open a new one?

Thanks,

Rob

Edit: it looks like the Clarity Rewards card is no longer available. It's still on the list of cards on Halifax's website, but the link takes you to the page for the Clarity card.

I don't know if this is the same one but are you meaning an Ultimate Reward Card??
If so, we have one and we HATE it. We have to pay £12.50 a month for the PRIVILEDGE (sp) of it. You get discounts to somethings like London Zoo - I live in Yorkshire so have no intention.

My husband is one who can't say NO, so he got this card and saw that he could get discounts and thought it was great! Nope.

The only thing that I like about it though, is that, if you are in an unarranged overdraft, you get charges £5 per DAY. Now this seems extreme, and it is if you don't check your account daily. However, we check it everyday and as soon as we see we're overdrawn, then we put money in and have a charge of £5 instead of the £30 something they used to do.

If you're not meaning this card, then I apologise for going on about it lol.

With other cards from halifax, you can just convert rather than having to close an account and re-open, I'm ASSUMING that this would be the case for you too......?

Rachel, you are talking about a current account, whilst the OP is asking about a credit card. They are completely different products.

Rob - the Clarity Reward card is still available, just not online (not sure why!). Phone up on 08457 28 38 48 and they'll change your card across to the Clarity Reward one.
