Waitrose: new website is PANTS, RUBBISH!

The new waitrose website is an unmitigated disaster. This isn't just a case of teething problems or performance issues that might be expected it simply doesn't work. Basic items that should have been detected with even a cursory test make the system nigh on unsuable.

Items selected are not added to orders, items appear on lists which they don't stock, search doesn't work, items appear in ramdom sequences, editting an order can duplicate items,editting an order can delete the entire order!, the system is prone to crashing when placing orders. There appears to have been no consideration of user interface (to see your trolley press the small font text only 'my trolley' link which is printed in gray on a gray background!). Compound that with the fact that the entire system is unusably slow (twenty seconds to change page!) and that waitrose appear to be completely ignoring their customers apart from one update in the last few days which actually made the thing worse (they made lists longer but you can only select items in the first twelve everything else can not be bought) and it's easy to see why their own forum (which is also buggy) is full of people demanding that they just swallow their pride and put back the old website.

Frankly the whole thing is an embarassing mess which has not been tested and should never have been released. They've removed a good , if dated, website and replaced it with something which is an unusable POS.
