Cost of rebuilding a garden wall ???

Hi,
can anyone give me an idea (approx) of rebuilding a two brick thick garden wall that is now wobbly (bricks have spalled and pointing is crumbling) ?
It is 4.3m long, and 1.7m high (just over 7m2). I reckon only 50% of the bricks can be reused in the new wall. Also, the foundation will have to be upgraded / replaced. Wall is tied into the house at one end and free standing at the other.
It is in Cheshire
Thanks

Probably not a good idea to have the wall tied into the back of the house. Usually the wall foundations are not as deep as the house foundations and are therefore liable to move/subside. This happened to my sister's house and the movement of the wall pulled the entire outer skin of brickwork off of the house and the semi next door as well. A wall of the size that you specify weighs a hell of a lot.I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.0 -
for budgeting,
labour only should be about 600/900 quid. for the wall.
bricks are from 60p ish each.
your description of the foundations works required, is like a bit of string. 100/500 quid?Get some gorm.0 -
cheers people - kind of what i thought for a budget0

everything said above is correct. only thing i would add is buy materials and get someone in to do the job. get quotes and buy all materials in bulk from local builders merchants. they will be chepaer than b+q etc.Martin you rock:j:j:j0
