I was with Talk talk for phone and aol for internet so aol told me they had package for both so decided to go with it s cheaper,so went live on 21stof feb on sat 5th of march came home and found no phone going rang them monday on my o2 mobile and they said would have enginer to check this would take 48hours to sort out text me tues to say okay so phone was on and can ring out but could not get any incoming calls as did not ring.also on banking on line and that went off nothing with banking as phoned them.rang aol again and gave them rollingkin and they said enginer would sort it it would take 48hours so went mad again they told me to ring 17070 and should of been my number but no it was somebody elses the enginer came out today and found that number was the person had ceased using aol a month ago and they passed it on to me so opel stopped that number so we cant recieve calls and been told to get every body to ring my mobile this is going to cost me a fortune I have since signed to BT but wont be on for 11 days what is my rights and is this breach of contract.

    No it won't be. Whilst they've not been professional, but entering into a fresh agreement with BT may cost you considerably more, as you are in breach of your agreed contract with THEM. The usual outcome is you are pursued by debt collectors (but not court).

    It would be reasonable to, having discovered the problem, give them time to rectify it. Any additional cost(s) could then be negotiated and usually deald with by a discretionary bill credit. In your situation, I'd cancel BT and let them sort it out, whilst you still can.

    I have found out there is a lot of people having same problem and been without phone and broadband i rang the number today from 17070 and spoke to lady on phone and she told me that she has no phone and broadband for 10 days so using there mobile by having there calls diverted then i did recieve letter dated 5th of march saying gone live with calls line rental and broadband which i got monday so set up cd ect they still text today saying issue resolved but it has'nt again and that was senior engineers i have told them on phone not happy BT checked my line and said nothing wrong with it so how long do i wait ?
