New First Direct application

Hi there.

I've just applied for a First Direct Current Account, but am curious about two things:

a) I'm moving over from HSBC, but as First Direct is already a subdivision of HSBC, will I still get the £100 incentive?

b) As my wages got paid automatically into my previous account, will they automatically get paid into my new First Direct account - or will I need to let my employer know the new bank details?

Thanks in advance for any help.

You will get the £100 when moving from HSBC, yes.

First Direct will send you a form to sign and post to your employer giving your employer instruction to send your salary to the new account number and sort code.
