Reclaiming Expenses

Hi all

Not entirely sure this is in the right place, so apologies if it isn't.

I'm a contractor (basically self-employed but going through an umbrella company) and I had to pay out while working for a company I've now left due to the end of my contract.
I was given the paperwork to claim back my expenses (which were incurred early December 2010) and I'm still waiting.

I'm trying to go through the proper channels with the company I was working for, but there just seems to be delay after delay.

Does anyone know if I can charge interest on the amount I'm owed and, if so, how much?

Any help gratefully received.

The money you are getting paid with is all your own money so in theory you can charge interest if the credit card company you are paying your expenses on has charged you interest. However as you are likely to have paid these expenses already in a mixture of cash and using your debit card, and just getting reimbursed then no.
    I'm not cynical I'm realistic :p

I withdrew the cash from my bank and paid for everything in cash.
But surely I can claim for the interest the money would have earned if left in my account?
