No connection charges, anyone else apart from BT

Is there another tel coms company apart from BT , that will not apply a connection charge for joining them, even though I have an existing line and box at ymy property that WAS Bt in the past !!

Currently i can only find BT who will not charge the £120 connection fee

its just im currently with Talktalk out of contract , and im looking at my options

    think sky charge alot less than £120 , used to be about £30

    Not really, as it is BTs network, they are in the best position to reconnect at the lowest cost. Any other provider would have to be offering a promotional offer to rebate whatever fee Openreach charged them to get the customer connected, and this often results with a minimum term commitment that far outweighs the benefit.

    Most get BT to reactivate the line for the minimum term (which CAN be as little as 3 months if no major work needs done), or at worst 12 months, then switch the working linew to a supplier of your choosing.

    3 months min term with bt , really ???

    BT will charge you for a reconnection if there is no dial tone. Whether there is a physical line and NTE5 master socket in place is immaterial.
    No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
