Hello
In addition to my other rant on here I have just found out through another forum that TT offer compensation of £1 for every day they don't come out and fix your service. I waited from December til February to get my broadband fixed after the engineer never showed and had to continue dealing with the customer service eejits. Someone at chief execs office basically offered me compo for time I had rubbish service (2 yrs) and for period I had no service at all. No one ever mentioned this goodwill compo they offer. Even more raging now. I even asked a customer service person what the compo terms were as BT used to offer 1 month free line rental for every day you were without a service. I was told it was just for the actual time lost on the service. I said I was happy to accept the compensation as I knew no different. Can I go back to them now? Or can I just go straight to ombudsman as so sick of them and this is all tied into same thing - bad service - both actual service and the customer service.
arrgghhhhhh. i need a drink.

Hi,
If you have already accepted some form of compensation from them I dont believe you can go back to them and demand more
That is similarly like buying a loaf of bread for 50p and then next week seeing it reduced to 30p. You chose to buy the product at the original price so you have accepted it im afraid.
Thats my take on it and others might offer different

thanks for your reply. It's just that I asked them the question and they told me there was nothing other than compensating me for the time I had lost service. So in my mind they have told me lies or at best, their staff not adequately trained. Either way, I was not given the facts.0

Either way, I was not given the facts.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
