Moving to flat with no suppliers set up

Hi,

I am in moving to a flat that currently has no gas or electricity suppliers set up. As most of the information on different tarrifs is based on current suppliers and deals for switching supplier, it mostly doesn't apply.

Does anybody have any advice as to who would be good to go for with electricity, gas or both?

I have the same question.
Pref with a online sign up via quidco etc..

If gas and electricity are actually connected to the flat then almost certainly there will be a supplier.
If it is a new build then the builder will have registered with someone.
If has been already occupied then the supplier will be the one used by the last occupant.

It's a recently refurbished flat so there will have been suppliers before but it's been unoccupied for a while and has no active gas or electricity.

Is it not possible to choose a new supplier and have them activate the gas/ electricity or do you have to go with the last suppliers for the propert?

Are you saying that there is no gas or electricity actually connected to the flat?

Electric is in, but cut off.
