Lino Problem

Hi,
We had some lino fitted a few days ago and it all seemed to be fine. I had to move the washing machine as the kitchen fitter (just had new kitchen fitted as well) had left the water off. When I moved the washer back again there's a "wave" in the lino.
The lino seems to still fit OK in that the edges of the lino are up against all the walls etc, has it possibly stretched?
Should the lino have been glued or attached to the floor in some other way, tacked etc?
Any advice, my partner is ringing the lino fitter today to see what they say about it.
Thanks.
