Superdry Jacket ruined at cleaners

The dry cleaner said he followed the care instructions on the label, a "P" in a circle but the outer layer has broken down, he has written a letter on headed paper stating this. It says I should take the jacket & his letter to the shop I bought the jacket from to get a replacement/compensation, but here is my problem, I bought the jacket about a year ago & do not have the receipt, I have spent ages trying to get proof of purchase from my bank both online & over the phone but am unable to do so.

I was going to go the the shop today but thought I might wait until the weekend when they will be very busy, I figured complaining in a busy shop might make the staff more likely to want to be seen to be providing providing good after sales service. I would just take it on the chin but this jacket cost me £110 which, to me, is a lot to spend on a jacket. Does anyone know what my chances of a replacement are?

As you have no proof of purchase pretty much 0 chance. You could have bought the jacket from anywhere.

Phone the store explain the situation about the dry cleaning do not mention the lack of receipt until/if they bring it up, say you will search for it, but what do you do...

State you have a letter off the drycleaners,

What do you have to lose?

Good idea, just had another look for the receipt & can't find it anywhere, but for some reason I still have the bag it came in.

I'd definitely phone them and see what they say.

I took a top back to Next once as it had gone out of shape when washing as per instructions, and despite no receipt, they replaced it for me!

With Superdry, you're paying mostly for the name rather than quality...
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Or, if you get no joy at the shop, you could always write to the Manufacturer and explain what happened ?
