RBS staff do not receive 'commission'. And even if they did how would it be earnt for not doing something?

She gave me the firm impression she wanted to treat it as a new application, towards her targets I presume

How does turning you away help her targets?
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.

Quite. Irrespective of whether or not RBS Group branch staff receive commission, they are certainly targeted - strictly, too, I presume, given some of the hard sell stories I've read about here.

Either that or they're really vapid morons who actually believe that attempting to force a product unsuitable for a customer, that the customer doesn't want, and that they don't understand anyway, is actually socially acceptable and makes them look good in the eyes of the public...

It did nothing, She wanted me to return the next day with the ID, I didn't bother and ended up completing the application by post, It worried me that an RBS staff member would state that the letter I was sent by theiur applications unit was totally inaccurate.
