Access hatch

About to lay new laminate in the hall, but there is an access hatch there which i would like to keep, has anyone done this before? i'm after ideas on how to make it look, i'd like it to be un-noticeable if possible and curious if anyone has a picture of theirs

you just need to take your time and be accurate in your cutting.

If you are good at DIY, it should not be too difficult to recess a flush fitting ring pull handle like this:

into the hatch, which will make it easy to lift up.
