whats the benefit of having fuel cards do they save you pennies off the pump price or are they simply a way for employees to fill up?

No idea if you can save money by using them, believe Tescos fuel card (fuel genie) say you can save money due to being able to use them at supermarkets, but I've seen loads of different ones being used at work (Tesco).

Very simple way of filling up for a business, believe you pay the bill monthly.

Most that I see at work is either All Star or Fuel Genie.
What is pi? Where did it come from?

Depends on the Scheme - I save 10% at the pumps by using fuel cards.... and can use them in store too.

Yep both Fuel Genie and All Star, and all the others I've seen, only time people don't is if its against company policy, Police aren't allowed to, but Fire Service are.

1 point for every £2 spent at the moment.

Am I right in thinking that most businesses do it because they pay an agreed price per litre at any location the card is used? (changing daily/weekly/??)

I know at work they pay the same price as everyone else per litre, don't know if they pay the fuel card company less though.

Varies to what card/scheme your on.

We used to have a email or a sms on a Sunday saying price will be "X" amount per litre for the following week. Usually a couple of pence cheaper than pump price.

That'll explain why a lot of fuel card users can justify using BP then - there's a BP and a Shell opposite each other just down the road - BP 135.9 unleaded, Shell 127.9.

Probably but it'll depend if the cards are accepted... Not all forecourts take all cards...

BPs the most expensive round here aswell.. Shells on 128.9 round here...
